Quepos Hot Springs Tour

Enjoy a 4-hour tour that includes a horseback ride to the Quepos Hot Springs with stops at large caverns and a "Mountain of Gold." The tour includes lunch and beverage at the Plantation La Palma lodge.

The following excerpts from an article in "Quepolandia" describe one participants feelings about this amazing tour.

...during the 20-30 minute trip [on horseback], we marveled at the sight of many beautiful plants and flowers, birds and butterflies, and other wildlife. During the entire trip I experienced a feeling I can only describe as spiritual.

...maybe caused by the knowledge that the area was long ago inhabited by Indians and perhaps the idea that there might be burial grounds nearby. Whatever the reason, the feeling was positive - very peaceful and warm.

...once we reached the hot springs, we were anxious to verify the phenomenon - and to bathe ourselves in the mineral-laden water with its "magical" powers. There are several pools and cascades with steaming water - a couple of which are so hot, you cannot leave your hand in it for more than an instant.

...Back at the lodge we were treated to a nice lunch and drinks. This tour should go on your "must do" list - and plan to spend a night or two. It's truly a lovely place.
